Classes generally follow a similar structure, starting with a warm up and some light stretching to get everyone moving. Following that are basic techniques such as punches and blocks, stepping and evades. These are the building blocks from which all of the more complex techniques are comprised.
The main parts of the class are Goho (hard) techniques and Juho (soft) techniques. These are practised in pairs to give an understanding of elements such as timing and adapting techniques to work with different people.
Some other elements such as falling safely, philosophy and meditation get mixed into the class, depending on what is being taught to try and make it as immediately relevant as possible.
